Online foal auction at the Westphalian Stud Book

Münster: Even though the foal season is slowly coming to an end, the auction merry-go-round in Westphalia continues to spin. 36 young foals predispositioned for dressage and show jumping were for sale at the online auction this evening. A good two thirds found a new owner at an average price of 8,315 Euros. Benicio and Emerald van het Ruytershof are the sires of the most expensive foals of today.

The customers of the Westphalian Stud Book have their sights firmly set on the future. The price structure of this online auction was led by a son of the riding horse maker Benicio from the Beckmann station. Be my Passion NET (breeder: ZG Nettebrock, Drensteinfurt; exhibitor: Heidi Nettebrock, Drensteinfurt) is a son of the St.Pr.St. Schokoletta can dance by Sir Donnerhall I. The liver chestnut stallion changed hands at a hammer price of 17,000 Euros. The most sought-after amazone of this online auction descents from a very special dam line. Delaya (breeder and exhibitor: Falk Schubert Billerbeck) is a daughter of Donier. Her dam Franziska is no less than the full sister of Franziskus. The coveted stallion of the Holkenbrink station was part of the successful dressage team at the World Equestrian Games in Herning/DEN with Ingrid Klimke in the saddle only a few weeks ago. Customers from Germany, who won the bid for the talented mare for 14,500 Euros, hope for an equally successful future for this filly.

Also among the foals predispositioned for jumping  young lady led the price structure. Estorienta (breeder and exhibitor: Karin Haber, Switzerland) entered the virtual Westphalian auction with the head number 3. She is a daughter of the Verb.Pr.St. Castorienta by Cornet Obolensky, who goes back to a pure thoroughbred line. Numerous licensed thoroughbred stallions are descended from this line. The sire of this likeable bay is Emerald van het Ruytershof, winner of the 5*-CSI in Chantilly. For the hammer price of 13,000 Euros, she changed hands to customers from Poland.

Internationally popular were the Westphalian foals once again. Bids were received from all over the world. In the end, customers outside of Germany won the bid for five foals. 23 of the 36 foals offered were sold this evening at an average price of 8,315 Euros. The virtual hammer fell five times at a price of over 10,000 Euros. In total, the Westphalian Stud Book realised a turnover of 191,250 Euros.

The auction lot for the next Westphalian Online Auction is already online under the motto: "Eventers from Westphalia". Foals and youngsters with a high percentage of thoroughbred blood are for sale in this auction. The BidUp starts next Monday, 12 September at 7.30 pm.
